House of Cupcakes will celebrate the opening of its Clifton location by giving away 1,000 cupcakes this week. The “Cupcake Wars” winner will give away 500 cupcakes starting at 3 p.m. on May 9 and another 500 starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10. The location is at 259 Allwood Road (in the Trader Joe’s Shopping Center on Route 3 West) in Clifton. Another shop is planned for Wayne.
Here’s what the press release says about the Clifton location: House of Cupcakes will offer over 35 varieties of its delicious, award-winning cupcakes baked fresh in-store daily. With cap and gown season just around the corner, the store has hundreds of customizable cupcakes available for graduation events. In addition to cupcakes, House of Cupcakes will also sell mini-cupcakes, custom pull-apart cakes, gourmet cheesecakes, special occasion decorated cookies, Ruthie’s Incredible Cookies and Ruthie’s Gourmet Ice Cream, offering customers the option of selecting their favorite flavor of ice cream and combining it with their two favorite cookie flavors to make a truly custom ice cream sandwich.
